Fall walk on the river...

A few days ago I took Griffin up to the Sooke Pot Holes.
This is a wonderful place anytime of year, although during the summer
months it's very busy with tourists and locals alike swimming and camping.
Now the river is very cold and the beaches are deserted...
The river comes down from the hills through a series of canyons where
the water collects into really deep pools, hence the name 'Pot Holes'...
The waters here are crystal clear.
 Griffin is in Heaven!!
The feel of autumn is in the air and the weather has been perfect for these walks...
Soon enough the skies will turn grey and open up and the rain gear will come out
along with the boots. We haven't had any rain since July so even though
I worry about our well going dry, I have to soak up these rich, brisk days...
Thanks Mother Nature.
Another satisfied customer!

It looks a wonderful place for a walk - can't believe how clear the water is!
Must get for a forest walk myself one of these weeks.

A wonderful place to refill your spirit. Gorgeous photos.

Griffin doesn't seem to mind the cold water.

What a gorgeous spot! That is one happy pup! I must say the idea of "brisk" weather and autumn in the air, has me so envious. I'm out at an appointment in Arcadia and I just checked the temp- 103!!! Oy- never been so ready for fall!

What a beautiful, magical, sparkling place! And all the more wonderful without the crowds.. (though i've never seen it crowded.) :) You must have felt so refreshed. And i spy Griffin with stick. Happy boy!
